Legislation in several states has forced Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) into the e-waste business. American Retroworks Inc. was established by a former state regulator (generally an outspoken proponent of simple waste bans and free markets) and our entire staff has extensive experience in state contracting and legislative compliance.
American Retroworks Inc. is a contracted partner to the "Manufacturer Interstate Takeback System" [MITS], was a consultant for OEM, charity, and state partnerships, and we have developed our own contract system for managing different manufacturers policies and end-markets.
Coupon Program - We distribute coupons for manufacturers interested in direct contact with residents (who are given a "free recycling" coupon wherever there is a fee for recycling). The unit is bar-coded and tracked at our facility, and directed to any destination that the OEM approves of. If we are allowed to repair and resell some appliances, we charge manufacturers less for the coupons; if the manufacturer has their own CRT processing company, we will separate the coded units and deliver to that destination. Like a "redemption center", Good Point Recycling has the capacity to implement multiple brands and multiple policies and a diverse system of certifications and compliance.
